Prayer of Salvation

Have you come to that place in your spiritual life where you know for certain that if you were to die today you would go to heaven? Do you know Jesus as your personal Saviour and Lord – are you saved? Is God your father? If your answer is no, then know this: He is knocking at the door of your heart and waiting for you to open so that He can come in and transform your life. Will you invite Him in now?

To do that, please pray the following prayer sincerely from your heart:

‘Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am a sinner in need of a saviour. I confess my sins before you this day. Jesus, please forgive me of all my sins, come into my heart, wash me clean with your precious blood and write my name in the Lamb’s book of life. I believe in my heart that you died for my sins and I confess with my mouth that God raised you from the grave. I am saved. I renounce satan and all his works. I surrender my life to you completely. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name I pray (Amen)’

If you just prayed this prayer, congratulations! You are born-again. You are a new creature, the old has passed away and the new has come. Welcome into the Kingdom of God. Baptism of the Holy Spirit:

When you prayed the prayer of salvation to receive Jesus into your heart, the Holy Spirit came into your heart and performed the miracle of rebirth in your spirit to make it alive to God! And according to Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the comforter is in our heart to stay! However, Jesus also said to the disciples that they need to have the Holy Spirit come upon them with power so that they can be effective witnesses for Him. Jesus is the baptiser in the Holy Spirit and in fire. God is ready to pour out His Spirit on you as you ask in faith – like salvation, the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God to be received by anyone who has confessed Jesus as their Lord and personal saviour. You can receive directly by faith or by the laying on of hands of anyone who has been baptised in the Holy Spirit.

To receive the baptism in the Holy, pray as follow:

‘Lord Jesus, I come to you in faith to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit – I ask you to fill me to overflowing with Your Holy Spirit - the same enduement of power that happened on the day of Pentecost. Cause rivers of living to flow out of me as I give utterance to my spiritual language. I receive now in Your name’

Now begin to speak in praise and adoration as the Spirit gives you words; these words do not come from your head (you do not understand them) but from your heart, your spirit - you voice them out with your mouth!

Prayer Focus For The Week

: The word of the Lord is the will of the Lord and we believe that the best prayer that anyone can pray is praying the word of the Lord over a life.

A good one is found in Eph 1:17-20: 'I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19and his incomparably great power for us who believe...'

 A Word for 2day:

Our word for today comes from our bible reading for today. Let the word be your meditation all day long and release the power of God in that word into your life on a daily basis.

Each daily reading has a portion from the Old Testament, a portion from the New and another portion from the Psalms.  It takes about 15minutes a day to read through the bible portion. For more information and to download the current month's reading plan, click here

Joshua 1:8 KJV

8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Pastor's Blog

Pastors’ what? What exactly is that?

These were the questions that ran through my mind when I first heard the phrase...You may be wondering why that reaction. Well let me explain. You see, I was not raised in the High Tech age and although I have worked very hard to catch up, sometimes the deficiency still shows up! However, I must congratulate myself (and I am desperately hoping that you do too!) because ‘I am better than some of my age mates who are still struggling to overcome their ‘computer-phobia’...does that remind you of a parable in the bible? Yeeeees!!!! Your guess is right – it’s the ‘holier-than-thou’ Pharisee who was measuring himself by the sinner (who by the way humbled himself before God and received mercy). It’s amazing how we give ourselves a part on the back when we should be challenging ourselves to press on to higher grounds. It is written that those who compare themselves with themselves are not wise. Don’t get me wrong, we certainly need to encourage ourselves but we must not lose sight of...the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus...

Blessings!
